Premium dry-hire mobile bar for birthdays, corporate events and private celebrations in Los Angeles, Orange County, the Inland Empire and Ventura. Custom signature cocktails, professional bartenders, full setup and cleanup. You buy the alcohol — we handle everything else.
La Barra Co. is a founder-run mobile bartending service based in Los Angeles, serving events across Southern California. We bring the full cocktail bar experience — bartenders, portable bar setup, mixers, garnish, glassware and menu design — directly to your venue. You provide the alcohol, we handle everything else. That's dry-hire, and it's how the smartest hosts run their bars. We were built for the client who wants a real cocktail bar at their event without the markup, waste and impersonal execution of traditional catering.
Traditional caterers mark alcohol up 200-400%. In a dry-hire model, you buy the alcohol yourself at retail — often from a local shop that will let you return unopened bottles — and we bring the professional bar service. You pay for expertise, not markup. It's fully legal in California and the standard for hosts who value quality without waste.
Every bartender on our team holds a current California RBS (Responsible Beverage Service) certification, required by state law. Full liquor liability insurance is in progress. We operate under a fully compliant California dry-hire model — the same framework used by leading catering and event brands statewide.
“The bar shouldn't be an afterthought at your event. It should be a reason people remember it.”— La Barra Co. Philosophy

A side-by-side breakdown so you can see exactly what changes as you scale. No hidden add-ons, no surprise charges — every line is included in the base package price.

Not every event needs real glassware. Pool parties, backyard barbecues, boat charters, tailgates and outdoor birthdays call for something safer and more casual. Any of these can be added to any package at booking.
“Every cocktail we pour is a small performance. Every guest deserves to feel like the guest of honor.”
Every package includes signature drinks built around you or your event — the birthday guest, the guest of honor, an inside joke, a family name. Type any name below to see how yours could appear on our custom-printed menu card at your event.
Booking us should feel as smooth as our service. Here's exactly what happens between your first message and the last glass being packed up at the end of the night.
Text, call or WhatsApp us. We talk through your event, guest count, venue, vibe. Zero pressure, real numbers.

45 min breakdownSix reasons hosts across Southern California are choosing us for their most important celebrations. This is what makes founder-run different from franchise catering.
No middlemen, no account managers, no phone trees. Every event goes through The Founder directly — the person who will train your bartenders and often work the bar himself.
Every bartender holds a current California RBS certification. We check ID, pace pours, refuse over-service, and keep your event safe and legal — the standard, done right.
We design drinks that match your color palette, your honoree's tastes, your season, and your theme. Not a cookie-cutter menu — a real bar built around your event.
The full experience in English or Spanish. Menus, service, planning calls — everything. Because Southern California celebrations don't fit into one language.
Our launch pricing sits 20-30% below established competitors offering the same package. These rates are real, they're limited, and they'll rise as our calendar fills.
Package price + 20% gratuity + travel outside base radius. That's it. No surprise cake-cutting fees, no glass rental up-charges, no invoice mysteries at the end.
A lot of new mobile bars skip the compliance conversation. We think you deserve to know exactly how our model works before you write a deposit check. Here's the plain-English explanation.
Under California ABC guidelines, a private host may legally purchase alcohol at retail for their own private event, and may hire a professional bartending service to prepare and serve those drinks. We do not sell alcohol — we sell bartending, setup, mixers, glassware and menu design. This is the same framework used by hundreds of catering and event brands statewide. It is the industry standard for private events, not a workaround.
California law requires every bartender who serves alcohol commercially to hold a current RBS (Responsible Beverage Service) certification, verified through the state ABC. Every bartender on our team holds an active RBS certification and can produce it on request. An ABC seller license is a separate credential required only for businesses that sell alcohol — which we do not. In the dry-hire model, the RBS is the credential that governs service. We meet the standard in full.
We carry general liability insurance for property damage and injury at events. Full liquor liability insurance is currently in progress — a specialized policy that covers alcohol-related incident claims. We're transparent about the status because we think that matters more than marketing spin. If your venue requires proof of specific coverage before your date, we'll tell you honestly whether we have it and can share our COI (certificate of insurance) on request.
A 30% deposit reserves your date. The balance is due 7 days before your event. Cancellations more than 30 days out receive a full deposit refund. Cancellations 14-30 days out receive a 50% refund. Inside 14 days, the deposit is non-refundable but transferable to a rescheduled date within 12 months at no penalty. We understand life happens — we've built the policy to be fair without being fragile.
We will not serve anyone visibly intoxicated, anyone under 21, or anyone whose ID we cannot verify. We will not serve at events with attendees under 21 who have access to the bar area without adult supervision. We will not accept jobs that violate ABC guidelines or that ask us to sell alcohol on-site. These are firm lines — non-negotiable — and part of what protects you as the host from any liability exposure.
Our focus keeps us sharp. We specialize in adult celebrations — 21 and older — where the bar plays a central role. Six event types cover about 95% of what we do.
Dirty 30s, 40th, 50th, 60th and beyond. Named signature cocktails, custom menu cards, service that treats the birthday guest like royalty. Our most-booked event category by a wide margin.
Office parties, client entertainment, product launches, holiday parties, quarterly celebrations, board dinners. Professional, on brand, tight service that finishes on schedule so your team can wrap the day.
Housewarmings, holiday hosting, dinner parties, cocktail evenings. Intimate gatherings from 15-30 guests where the host wants a real bar experience without playing bartender all night.
Pool parties, sunset gatherings, patio dinners, backyard concerts. Our setup fits any residential space — driveways, decks, lawns, side yards. We work in real backyards, not just Instagram ones.
Empowerment celebrations, new-chapter parties, girls' nights that need more than wine and cheese. Playful menus, spicy margaritas, cocktails named after the ex or the new life. Unforgettable, on purpose.
Anniversary dinners, engagement announcements, promotions, retirement toasts, graduation parties, cultural milestones. Events where the drink you're holding when the toast happens really matters.
A handful of stories from our first months of service across Southern California. Real events, real hosts, real feedback.
“The team turned my 40th into the party everyone's still talking about. The cocktail named after me was the whole conversation of the night. Setup was seamless, cleanup was invisible, and the service pace was exactly right for the room.”
“We used La Barra Co. for our Q4 client dinner and it made the whole evening feel elevated. The bartenders knew their menu cold, kept the pace tight, and the branded menu cards were a surprisingly great touch. Booking again for our holiday party.”
“Contraté a La Barra Co. para el aniversario de mis papás en Anaheim. Todo en español, cocktails que combinaban con la comida, y un servicio impecable. La abuela de 82 años se tomó dos margaritas y bailó hasta la 1 a.m. Recomendados 1000%.”
“This was the divorce party I didn't know I needed. The Founder actually took time to design cocktails that told my story — from the 'Fresh Start Spritz' to the 'Signed on the Line'. My friends still talk about it. The bar was the party.”
“Backyard 50th in Irvine — 85 guests, three-hour cocktail hour into dinner. La Barra Co. handled the whole flow, made sure my mom always had her margarita in hand, and left our patio spotless. Pricing was legitimately half of the competitor quote we had.”
“Booked La Barra for my partner's promotion celebration in Beverly Hills. The espresso martinis alone were worth the entire booking. The Founder walked us through the shopping list personally so we didn't over-buy. Zero waste, zero stress. Absolute pros.”
These are early client experiences from our launch season. As we grow, we're building our public review portfolio on Google Business Profile — feel free to leave your review there after your event.

Day +3La Barra Co. began with a simple observation I made at too many great parties: the food was thoughtful, the venue was beautiful, the music was right — and then the bar was an afterthought. Warm drinks in plastic cups. A line that never moved. A bartender who didn't know the menu and didn't care to. I couldn't understand why hosts spent months planning everything else and left the bar to whoever was cheapest and available.
So I built La Barra Co. to fix exactly that. I chose the mobile bar model instead of opening a brick-and-mortar because I wanted to bring the craft cocktail bar to the spaces where the memories actually happen — backyards, patios, private venues, home celebrations. A restaurant serves anyone who walks in. A mobile bar serves you specifically, on your night, in your space.
We're new to Southern California — recently launched, working from Los Angeles, serving events from Malibu to Pomona and everywhere in between. That means two things: every event still gets my personal attention, and our founding-client pricing is genuinely below what established competitors charge. I show up to consultations. I train the bartenders myself. I answer your texts, usually within the hour. When you book La Barra Co., you're getting the founder — not a sales team.
My commitment to you is this: I will treat your event like it's my own. I will design cocktails that mean something to you and your guests. I will show up early, work clean, and leave your space better than I found it. And I will stand behind the work — if something isn't right, I will make it right, because reputation is the only thing a founder-run business really has.
If you're planning a milestone birthday, corporate cocktail hour, backyard celebration, or anything else where the bar shouldn't be an afterthought — I'd love to talk. Text me directly. No phone tree, no sales pitch. Just a conversation about what would make your event unforgettable.

Seventeen of the questions we hear most from Southern California hosts. If yours isn't here, text us — we usually reply within the hour.
Bartender(s), portable bar setup with backdrop, all mixers, fresh juices, house syrups, garnishes, ice, glassware or premium disposables, printed custom menu cards, cocktail napkins, complete setup and full breakdown. The only additional lines are a standard 20% service gratuity and travel outside the base radius for that package.
No. As a dry-hire mobile bar, you purchase the alcohol yourself — this keeps the model compliant with California ABC guidelines and saves you 30-50% versus caterers who mark up alcohol. We send you a precise shopping list (brands, sizes, quantities) based on your menu and guest count, and we tell you exactly where to buy.
Standard math: plan for 1 drink per guest per hour for the first two hours, then 0.75 per hour after. A 4-hour event for 100 guests = about 350 drinks. We convert that into bottle counts (spirits, wine, beer split), share which retailers accept returns on unopened bottles, and recommend you buy 10% extra as a cushion. Most clients spend $8-15 per guest on alcohol at retail — dramatically less than caterer markup pricing.
We serve Los Angeles County, Orange County, the Inland Empire (Riverside & San Bernardino) and Ventura County. Base travel is included within the package radius (25 mi Intimate, 50 mi Signature, 75 mi Grand). Beyond that we add $2/mile round trip from Los Angeles — calculated transparently and included in your quote. No surprise fees.
Every bartender holds a current California RBS (Responsible Beverage Service) certification, required by state law. We carry general liability insurance for property damage and injury. Full liquor liability coverage is in progress. We operate under a fully compliant California dry-hire model. COI available on request for venues that need it.
3 hours of service, plus our included setup (60-120 min) and breakdown (45 min). We can build custom shorter engagements for pop-up situations, corporate half-hours or wedding cocktail extensions — reach out to talk through it.
Absolutely. Every event includes a craft mocktail option built with the same premium ingredients as our cocktails. We can also design keto-friendly (no sugar syrup, fresh citrus, spirits-forward), low-cal (spritz-based, tall drinks), and sugar-free menus. Tell us your requirements at the menu design stage and we'll build accordingly.
Full pre-booking tastings aren't part of our current model — we're a founder-run mobile business, not a fixed venue. However, we do offer detailed video walk-throughs of any signature cocktail we design for you, and we're building a tasting event series in late 2026 for booked clients.
4-8 weeks is ideal for weekend dates, especially May through October (peak season in SoCal). We accept last-minute bookings when the calendar allows — we've delivered great events on 5-day rush timelines. If your date is soon, text us and we'll tell you honestly whether we can execute properly.
Cancellations more than 30 days out receive a full deposit refund. 14-30 days out, 50% refund. Inside 14 days, the deposit is non-refundable but transferable to a rescheduled date within 12 months at no penalty. Weather rescheduling for outdoor events is always free within 14 days.
Yes — always included in every package. We arrive 60-120 minutes before service (depending on package) to fully set up bar, backdrop, garnish station, glassware and menus. After service ends, we take 45 minutes to break down completely, bag trash, wipe surfaces and leave your space cleaner than we found it. Zero hosting labor from you.
Standard uniform is a black button-up, black apron and black pants — polished and neutral for any event style. We can adjust to your dress code — all white for beach events, all black tie for corporate, or coordinated colors if you send us the palette in advance. No extra charge.
Yes — this is one of our most-requested add-ons. For pool parties, backyard events, boat charters, and outdoor gatherings we recommend our Disposable Cup Service: premium clear 16oz and 10oz rocks-style plastic cups, shot cups and stirrers included, with a compostable eco option available. Add it to any package for +$95 per 100 guests (+$25 for the compostable upgrade). We can also mix — real glass at the bar for craft cocktails, plastic near the pool. Trash bags and disposal are included.
We bring it. Intimate includes premium eco-disposables (they look real, they compost). Signature includes your choice of real glass or premium disposables. Grand includes full real glassware service — rocks, coupe, wine, highball, all sized properly to the menu. You never need to source glassware separately.
It almost never happens because we size the shopping list carefully — but if it does, our bartender will discreetly let you know 30 minutes before it becomes a problem, and can either pivot to lower-inventory drinks or a designated guest can make a quick store run. We'll always be prepared with backup non-alcoholic options.
Yes — every signature cocktail on your menu comes with a zero-proof version built to the same standard. We work with premium non-alcoholic spirits (Seedlip, Ritual, Lyre's) and design mocktails that don't feel like a compromise. Guests who don't drink will get the full experience, not a Shirley Temple.
Yes — backyards, patios, driveways, pool areas, terraces, rooftops. We bring shade covering for the bar station on request, we don't need a full canopy from you. We need a reasonably flat area (roughly 10x8 ft), access to one standard outlet within 25 ft, and a path from vehicle to setup. That's it.
30% deposit reserves your date. Remaining 70% balance due 7 days before your event. We accept credit card, Venmo, Zelle, ACH bank transfer and checks. Corporate clients can request net-30 invoicing with signed contract. All payments processed through secure invoicing — you'll receive a written contract and receipt for everything.
